Baseball Game Preview: Williams Bay Bulldogs vs. Parkview Vikings

For the second straight game, Williams Bay will face off against Parkview. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williams Bay hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Monday, Williams Bay didn't have quite enough to beat Parkview and fell 3-2.

For Parkview's part, Christrian Hobon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Hobon also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Vikings are 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Mathias Treinen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Kase Hazeltine also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Williams Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Parkview, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.
