Softball Recap: Henderson Takes a Loss

Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Downingtown East Cougars. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Josie Carfagno made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Emma Burns also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Henderson's record now sits at 0-7. As for Downingtown East, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Henderson will take on rival Bishop Shanahan at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Downingtown East is set to face off against their familiar foe Oxford at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
