Baseball Game Preview: Auburn Trojans vs. Auburn Riverside Ravens

For the second straight game, Auburn will face off against Auburn Riverside. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburn has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Auburn Riverside will come in with three straight wins.

Auburn fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Auburn Riverside on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens.

For Auburn Riverside's part, Kaeden Morgan spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Morgan.

At the plate, Auburn Riverside let Alex Toth and Cole Svendsen run wild. Toth scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Svendsen went 2-for-4 with one triple and one double. That run was Toth's first of the season. Payton Eklund was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Auburn Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
