Ryan Mihelcic and Justin Hill provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Ambridge. The longest such play in WPIAL AAA Parkway this season, the connection resulted in 86 yards.
Devin Wilson of Montour ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against the Bridgers last week. Wilson ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 130 on the day as his team defeated Ambridge.
Chandler Kincade and Cole Chiappialle gave Blackhawk a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Kincade threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns, while Chiappialle ran for 227 yards. Alex Caratelli also contributed to the rushing game with 33 yards on the ground.
Hill was the best wideout in the league this week as Montour bested Neil Tkatch's team. Hill racked up three receptions for 125 yards. Brandy Anthony helped Montour's passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Blackhawk's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kincade has thrown for 1112 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Caratelli has 33 catches for 566 yards. Chiappialle leads the league in rushing with 593 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Lou Cerro's team takes on Chartiers Valley. The Spartans' offense has recorded 181 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Colts have permitted only 186 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Montour takes on Chartiers Valley. The Spartans are in first place, while Chris Saluga's team is in sixth place.
Montour extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bridgers, 45-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
