Football Game Preview: Watts Engineers vs. South Coffeyville Lions

For the first time this season, Watts will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the South Coffeyville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On September 12th, Watts was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 16-12 to Gans.

Meanwhile, South Coffeyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Copan, falling 47-6.

South Coffeyville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Watts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Watts against South Coffeyville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Engineers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
