Recap: Crest Chargers vs. Shelby Golden Lions
The Crest Chargers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They strolled past Shelby with points to spare, taking the game 63-47. For Crest, this counts as revenge for the 48-44 defeat Shelby walked away with the last time they faced one another last Friday.
Crest was led to victory by D'various Surratt and AJ Adams. Surratt scored 17 points along with five rebounds, while Adams scored 13 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. The game was Surratt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Cal Pass jr. was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Crest's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Shelby, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crest will stay at home for another game and welcome Burns at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Shelby will finish 2023 at home by hosting East Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Rutherford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 539 points over their last eight games.
