Recap: Autaugaville Eagles vs. Calhoun Tigers
The Autaugaville Eagles and the Calhoun Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Autaugaville Eagles had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Tigers. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Calhoun found their leader in underclassman Alivia Mason, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mason has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Gary, who scored 14 points.
Autaugaville's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Calhoun, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.
Autaugaville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-41 victory vs. Holy Spirit Catholic on the 9th. Calhoun has also already played their next match, a 37-29 win against Berry on the 10th.
