Preview: Corvallis vs. Butte Central Catholic

Butte Central Catholic (4-3) and Corvallis (3-4) go head to head this Friday at 7:00 PM. Butte Central Catholic has seen its point totals steadily rise over the past three games, a trend the team will no doubt hope to continue.

Butte Central Catholic can now show off four landslide victories after its game last week. It kept its opponent Stevensville off the scoreboard entirely last week, winning the match 34 - 0. Butte Central Catholic especially relied on sophomore Thomas McGree, who finished up with 162 yards passing and two rushing touchdowns, and senior Ryan Moodry, who showed off his agility by splitting the defense to the tune of 152 yards. This sound performance was nothing new for Moodry, who has been a rock for Butte Central Catholic in the past three games.

Meanwhile, the result of Corvallis's previous contest was disheartening but, based on state rankings, not too surprising. It received a tough blow as it fell 34 - 14 to Beaverhead County. However, junior Hunter Pinheiro didn't go down without a fight as he earned one touchdown and 220 yards rushing the ball.

The last time they met, Butte Central Catholic was the 40 - 7 victor. Can it repeat its success? We'll find out this Friday.
