Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Ramblers vs. Council Lumberjacks

Cascade is 0-10 against Council since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Cascade Ramblers will head out on the road to face off against the Council Lumberjacks at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Cascade will head into Thursday's match on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Horseshoe Bend on Thursday. Cascade blew past Horseshoe Bend, posting a 48-16 win.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Council over Horseshoe Bend in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Council blew Horseshoe Bend out of the water with a 54-18 final score. The Lumberjacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 28 points or more this season.

The victory got Cascade back to even at 9-9. As for Council, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Cascade was taken down by Council 51-23 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Cascade avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
