Flatirons Academy's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They really took it to Platte Canyon for the full four quarters, racking up a 28-0 win. The Bison pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Huskies had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denver Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Prospect Ridge Academy 49-8. With the Thunder ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Denver Christian's win came from a few key players Flatirons Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elijah Whitfield, who rushed for 56 yards and one TD.

The victory made it two in a row for Denver Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for Flatirons Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Flatirons Academy against Denver Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
