East Lyme extends home losing streak to seven

The East Lyme Vikings couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by New London 80-47 on Friday. East Lyme has not had much luck with New London recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why East Lyme lost, one person who can't be blamed is Oliver Hibbard. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Michael Timpano was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
East Lyme's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for New London, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
East Lyme will head out on the road to face off against Norwich Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New London will be home for the holidays to greet Windsor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
