Volleyball Recap: Highland Fighting Scots vs. Heath Bulldogs
Highland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Heath Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Fighting Scots who have now won four matchups in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-18.
MaKaylee Merckling was a one-man wrecking crew for Highland as she had 25 digs.
Highland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Heath, they moved to 14-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
After both having extra time off, Highland and Shelby will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shelby is coming into the contest with six straight victories on the road, so Highland will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Heath does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
