Game recap: Wimberley High School Football Team takes down La Vernia

WIMBERLEY, Texas - Wimberley (Texas) extended its winning streak to six games with a 20-0 victory over La Vernia (Texas) on Saturday.

The lead that the Texans took on a touchdown pass by Reed Jones to Kolby Kelley with 6:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.

Kelley stood out for Wimberley in the win. He ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 19 touchdowns on the season.

Coming into the game WHS had allowed 21.7 points per game this year.

When the two teams played each other last season, the Texans came away with a 49-6 victory.
