Basketball Recap: Dowagiac Comes Up Short

After flying high against Benton Harbor last Friday, Dowagiac came back down to earth. The Dowagiac Chieftains fell 53-42 to the Allegan Tigers on Tuesday. The Chieftains were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Dowagiac has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Allegan, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dowagiac will challenge Brandywine at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brandywine will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Dowagiac surely won't give up without a fight. As for Allegan, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Allegan Tigers challenge the Watervliet Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
