Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Warriors vs. Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs
Faith Christian lost against Westover Christian Academy back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Faith Christian Warriors received a blow as they fell 53-39 to the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs.
Despite the loss, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Glaze went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillia Joseph, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.
Emily Evans was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards for Westover Christian Academy. Evans is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mollie Lackey, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points and six boards.
Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Westover Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
