Basketball Game Preview: La Salle Lancers vs. Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders

La Salle hasn't had much luck against Archbishop Moeller recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The La Salle Lancers will square off against the Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. La Salle will be strutting in after a victory while Archbishop Moeller will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, La Salle got the win against Turpin by a conclusive 60-38. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Spartans are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Archbishop Moeller was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against St. Xavier, falling 46-22. The matchup marked the Fighting Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for La Salle and bumps their season record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Archbishop Moeller, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

La Salle came up short against Archbishop Moeller when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-46. Can La Salle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
