Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. Wilmington Friends

The Concord Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Wilmington Friends Quakers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Concord is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Conrad Science on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Red Wolves. Concord have struggled against Conrad Science recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Wilmington Friends kept a clean sheet against Tatnall on Thursday. They blew past the Hornets 8-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Wilmington Friends considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Wilmington Friends now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Concord, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Concord came up short against Wilmington Friends in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
