Recap: Intrinsic Mustangs vs. Austin College and Career Academy Tigers
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-25, which was the final score in Intrinsic's's tilt against Austin College and Career Academy on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Intrinsic saw an underclassman step up: America Escalera scored 16 points. Escalera scored a full 64% of Intrinsic's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 9 points.
Intrinsic now has a losing record at 1-2-2. As for Austin College and Career Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Intrinsic will be playing in front of their home fans against Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wells' defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Intrinsic's offense will have their work cut out for Intrinsic. As for Austin College and Career Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Legal Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
