It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cardinal Mooney can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers on Tuesday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cardinal Mooney started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 31-29, 25-16, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Charlee Hermann and Kelsey Fisher, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Brooke Gruhl and her 28 assists. Samara Da Silva controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Cardinal Mooney's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Berkeley Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.
