Northshore came tearing into Friday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Holden Rockets an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Freeman looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Brody Dukes was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Aviel Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Northshore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holden only posted an OBP of .231.

Northshore's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Holden, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northshore will square off against Fontainebleau at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 1.9, the Bulldogs 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Holden, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lutcher at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
