Basketball Game Preview: Southwood Cowboys vs. Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights

The Southwood Cowboys will square off against the Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-29, which was the final score in Southwood's tilt against Bossier on Tuesday. The Cowboys have struggled against the Bearkats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Woodlawn-Shreveport was beaten by Northwood 66-34 on Tuesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southwood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Woodlawn-Shreveport, their loss dropped their record down to 11-19.

Southwood ended up a good deal behind Woodlawn-Shreveport in their previous meeting back in December of 2016, losing 66-48. Can Southwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
