Basketball Recap: Taylor Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Taylor had won three straight home games and James Thomas did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Taylor Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons 73-46 thanks in part to Thomas, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 16 points along with five boards and five steals. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Miler, who posted seven points and five steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Taylor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Taylor and First Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Taylor's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Trinity Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m.
