Quaker Valley took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-20 victory over the Freedom Area Bulldogs. This was payback for the Quakers, who suffered a 7-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Quaker Valley, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ben McHenry, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Coming up, Quaker Valley is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Keystone Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom Area, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
