Preview: Donaldsonville Tigers vs. Amite Warriors
The Donaldsonville Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Amite Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Donaldsonville pushed their score all the way to 42 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 68-42 defeat to Erath might stick with them for a while.
Despite the defeat, Donaldsonville had strong showings from Blake Turner, who rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns, and Raiyen Oatis, who picked up 138 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Donald Brown, who threw for seven yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Amite came up short against Sumner last Thursday and fell 14-6. Amite has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Donaldsonville has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Amite, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
