Soccer Recap: Greenwood Comes Up Short

Greenwood lost against Lake View back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Greenwood Rangers came up short against the Lake View Chiefs, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 671st, while the Chiefs are ranked 123rd).

Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Lake View, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Greenwood will venture away from home to face off against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake View, they will face off against Andrews at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake View has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 19 goals over their last three matches.
