Baseball Recap: Fort Mill Takes a Loss

Fort Mill blew Clover out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Clover got their revenge. Fort Mill fell just short of Clover by a score of 5-3. The matchup marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nick Fox was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Fort Mill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Blankinship, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Fort Mill's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Clover, their record now sits at 6-4.
