Basketball Recap: Robinson Rockets vs. Alvarado Indians
Robinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 47-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alvarado Indians. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2016.
Joslyn Jarmon continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Alvarado, going 10 for 18 en route to 27 points plus six rebounds and four steals. Jarmon continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Cylee Morton was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 13 points.
Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Alvarado, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Robinson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-20 loss against Live Oak Classical on the 7th. As for Alvarado, they will venture away from home to square off against Hillsboro at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillsboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
