Preview: New Hope Leadership Academy Gladiators vs. Anderson C Cavaliers
New Hope Leadership Academy has been on the road for five straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Anderson C Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, New Hope Leadership Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Varsity Opponent, taking the game 73-65.
Sugar Eaton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 55 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of BJ Perkins, who scored 11 points.
Anderson C suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 104-81 loss at the hands of Georgia Force Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (73), Anderson C still had to take the loss.
The win got New Hope Leadership Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Anderson C, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
New Hope Leadership Academy skirted past Anderson C 47-45 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will New Hope Leadership Academy repeat their success, or does Anderson C have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
