Volleyball Recap: Midview Comes Up Short

Midview had lost four straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 5-9 to make it five. They fell just short of the Berea-Midpark Titans by a score of 3-2. The Middies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Emily Martin paced Midview's offense, picking up 17 kills. Martin got some help from Delaney Pebworth and her 45 assists. Kendyl Gregor and Mia Laury kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

As for Berea-Midpark, their win bumped their record up to 6-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Midview since September 1, 2022.

Berea-Midpark can attribute much of their success to Capri Brennan, who had 13 digs.

Midview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Brookside on the 20th. As for Berea-Midpark, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Avon on the 23rd.
