After a string of eight wins, Upperman's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Watertown Purple Tigers. The Bees were not able to make up for their defeat to the Purple Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Upperman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alec Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Upperman's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Watertown, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upperman will face off against Smith County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Owls will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Watertown, they will take on Cannon County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
