Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell just short of the Southern Indians by a score of 2-1.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cameron sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-13.
Southern was led to victory by Kennedy Lewis and Cheyenne Bennett. Lewis had 12 digs and four aces, while Bennett had four aces, a kill, and 18 assists. That's the most aces Bennett has posted in her last five games.
Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Southern, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
