It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oneonta had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the White Plains Wildcats a 3-0 shutout. Considering Oneonta have won 11 matchups by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Oneonta has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those nine contests. As for White Plains, they moved to 14-7-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
