Baseball Recap: Robert F. Kennedy Community Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Robert F. Kennedy Community hadn't done well against Roybal recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Titans by a score of 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Aldeir Molina made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Molina was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Giancarlo Pernia was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Chambers, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Robert F. Kennedy Community's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Roybal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Robert F. Kennedy Community wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against CALS Early College on the 15th. Roybal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
