Recap: Elmwood Royals vs. Otsego Knights

The Elmwood Royals had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Otsego 46-32 on Monday. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for Elmwood this season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Cornell, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Cornell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Otsego struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.

Elmwood's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14. As for Otsego, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Elmwood will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Otsego, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
