Basketball Recap: Columbus Snags 17th Victory in Last 21 Games

Columbus won the last time they faced Yoakum and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Columbus Cardinals strolled past the Yoakum Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbus is also on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Yoakum, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-21.

As of now, neither Columbus nor Yoakum have any future games scheduled.
