Softball Game Preview: Wicksburg Panthers vs. Providence Christian Eagles

The Wicksburg Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Providence Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wicksburg is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Wicksburg's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Dothan by a score of 3-0.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Joyner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Providence Christian came up short against Long on Saturday and fell 6-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Wicksburg pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.1 runs on average over those games. As for Providence Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
