Who's up and who's down

There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. Among the action were the efforts of Warren Central's senior Romeir Elliott, an offensive menace who scored seven total TDs.

Welcome

Say hello to Zionsville: the team broke into the power rankings at the 24th position after its notable last-week performance. It won a game that couldn't get any closer, slipping by Fishers 13 - 12. The result was just as the MaxPreps state rankings suggested, although the scoreline definitely wasn't as one-sided as expected.

Can't Touch This

Warren Central got a 62 - 14 win over Bowling Green last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Romeir Elliott. Elliott ran for 433 yards and also punched in six touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Elliott as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.

No Stoppin 'Em

It isn't too difficult to come out on top when you enjoy a 427-yard edge over your opponent, and New Palestine had just that last week. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Delta, finishing up at 84 - 13. One major factor in the win was the play of junior Charlie Spegal, who rushed for 387 yards and seven touchdowns. The combined 97-point effort made this the highest-scoring game in the power rankings for the week.

Movin on Up

The West Lafayette offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. The final score between it and Tipton was a 42 - 0 blowout in West Lafayette's favor. One of the main ringleaders for West Lafayette was junior Kyle Adams, who tossed the ball for 306 yards and three TDs. The team's efforts were enough to boost its power ranking by four, which was the most sizeable gain made by any team in the rankings.
