Shelton waltzed into their contest on Friday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They took down the Red Cloud Warriors 58-43. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Warriors are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Josie Faimon and Logan Brown certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Faimon posted 13 points, while Brown earned 12 points.

Shelton's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points over those games. As for Red Cloud, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Shelton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Silver Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shelton's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Silver Lake's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Red Cloud, they will host Kenesaw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
