Basketball Recap: Palo Verde Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Palo Verde rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 75-63 victory over the Faith Lutheran Crusaders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Despite the defeat, Faith Lutheran had strong showings from Dashel Wiley, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds, and Tyson Price, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points. That's the most points Price has posted since back in December of 2023. Mason Schweitzer was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Palo Verde's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Faith Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season.

Palo Verde has already played their next match, a 74-61 loss against Legacy on the 11th. Faith Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
