Baseball Recap: King's Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

King's Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Oakbrook Prep Knights on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Knights on Monday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Lucas Fields was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for King's Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6-1 otherwise. Jackson Alexander was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

King's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Oakbrook Prep, they moved to 18-4-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Knights beat King's Academy by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.
