The matchup between Smiths Station and Montgomery Catholic on Monday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Smiths Station Panthers walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Montgomery Catholic Knights. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Smiths Station's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Montgomery Catholic, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.

Coming up, Smiths Station will face off against Lee-Scott Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Smiths Station knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Lee-Scott Academy likes a good challenge. As for Montgomery Catholic, they will challenge Tallassee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Montgomery Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.9 goals per game this season.
