Basketball Recap: Adam Ogden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Civic Memorial over Mascoutah

Civic Memorial lost against Mascoutah back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Civic Memorial Eagles took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mascoutah Indians. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Civic Memorial lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adam Ogden, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and six assists. Ogden is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Riley Lamb was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 13 points.

Civic Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Mascoutah, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Civic Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-40 win against Litchfield on the 4th. As for Mascoutah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-39 defeat against Belleville West on the 4th.
