It was a good run, but Cardinal Newman unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Jupiter Warriors, falling 7-1. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cardinal Newman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Demarzo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Cardinal Newman's defeat dropped their record down to 20-3-1. As for Jupiter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Cardinal Newman and Jupiter should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Crusaders will challenge Okeechobee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (12 vs. 296). Meanwhile, Jupiter (ranked 47th) will meet Leonard (ranked 521st) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Warriors' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Lancers have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
