Softball Recap: Northview Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Northview entered their tilt with Gulf Breeze on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Dolphins by a score of 7-4. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northview got a big performance out of Bailey Burkette, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kylee Langham, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-5.

Northview's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Gulf Breeze, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview will head out to square off against West Florida at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gulf Breeze, they will venture away from home to face off against Tate at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
