Softball Game Preview: Providence Catholic Celtics vs. Reavis Rams

The Providence Catholic Celtics will head out to take on the Reavis Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reavis will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Providence Catholic extended their winning streak to five on Saturday. The Celtics' pitchers stepped up to hand Resurrection an 11-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Reavis made easy work of Bremen on Thursday and carried off a 17-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won five in a row.

Lily Fish made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Fish was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Leticia Solis was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Reavis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Providence Catholic's record is now 19-4. As for Reavis, their record now sits at 10-6.
