Concord Academy took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Gaston Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Concord Academy had just enough and edged out Gaston Christian 3-2. The win was nothing new for Concord Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.

Concord Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-20, 15-11.

Harmony Blankenship paced Concord Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Blankenship got some help from Harper Troutman and her 21 assists. Addison Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Concord Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Gaston Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Concord Academy is taking a road trip to face off against SouthLake Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gaston Christian, they will welcome Hickory Grove Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
