Meanwhile, Jefferson came up short against Lanier on Thursday and fell 21-13. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly eight points.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
