Burbank is 7-2 against Jefferson since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses dating back to last season for Burbank and six for Jefferson dating back to last season.

Burbank's last matchup with Medina Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup last Friday. The Bulldogs were beaten by the Panthers 70-21. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Edward Rodriguez, who rushed for 63 yards and one score. Kaleb Perez also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came up short against Lanier on Thursday and fell 21-13. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly eight points.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Burbank took their win against Jefferson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 27-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
