Basketball Recap: Mount Ayr Continues Home Dominance on Friday

There's no place like home for Mount Ayr, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 70-22 victory over the Southeast Warren Warhawks. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Mount Ayr's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Southeast Warren, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Mount Ayr has already played their next contest, a 53-38 victory against Central Decatur on the 4th. As for Southeast Warren, they will challenge Lenox at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lenox has seven straight wins, Southeast Warren has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
