Baseball Recap: Glenoak Has No Trouble Against Granville

The GlenOak Golden Eagles made easy work of the Granville Blue Aces on Saturday and carried off a 7-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

GlenOak got a great performance from Bryson Peffer as he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Peffer a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mason Olbon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Mazeke, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

GlenOak's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, GlenOak will be playing at home against Ursuline at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Granville, they will challenge River Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
