Volleyball Recap: Albany's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Albany entered their tilt with Watertown-Mayer on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Royals by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in August.

Brynn Panek paced Albany's offense, picking up nine kills. Panek got some help from Lillian VanHeel and her 24 assists. Panek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Albany's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Watertown-Mayer, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Albany wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Chatfield on the 20th. As for Watertown-Mayer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against St. Croix Lutheran on the 20th.
